About Me

My life was not ordinary as no one’s is and my experiences sent me off in different directions starting at an early age living on an Sioux Indian Reservation, to Beirut during wartime,  walking the Killing Fields of Cambodia, and traveling far into eastern Turkey to name a few.  These experiences shaped me into who I have become, an independent woman who remains optimistic that there is goodness in the world and that people are inherently kind.  As a survivor of two  wars: mental illness and domestic violence, my hope is that this story can educate and inform others that you can survive in ways that you never imagined.
